Jeffrey W. Elston



 Jeffrey W. Elston, 36, of South Glastonbury, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at home.  He was born on April 5, 1981 in Manchester, Connecticut, the son of Andrea and Harold Elston.  A graduate of Glastonbury High School, Class of 2000 and Bentley University, Class of 2004 with a B.S. degree in Finance and Accounting, Jeff subsequently set off to explore the USA by car ultimately traversing it from coast to coast four times.  His passion for automobiles started early in life with a Cozy Coupe at 8 months of age and resulted in two business endeavors with Concours Mobile Detailing and NEO Autos as an adult.  As early as elementary school Jeff displayed an interest in playing the drums.  During this time he composed a song about the Llamas that grazed in front of a house on his way home while riding in the school bus.  Soon his bus was known for its occupants boisterous rendition of the Llama song all the way home.  His athletic abilities lead him to be especially passionate about sailing on the family sloop, junior golf events, motocross racing, cycling and jet skiing.  He even savored learning to line dance at the Cadillac Ranch where his fun-loving nature could shine.  Jeff will be sorely missed by his loving aunts and uncles as well as his two close in age cousins who were like brothers to him.  The family Siamese cat April will miss his gentle touch and kind ways.  His many friends will miss sharing their memories of numerous fun filled times together and their daring activities.  Younger family members will miss how entertaining he could be when singing renditions of his favorite songs.  Calling hours will be held from 4pm to 6pm on FRIDAY, January 5, 2018 at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Avenue, Glastonbury.  A memorial service will  immediately follow  the calling hours at 6pm.  Burial will be private at the request of the family.  In lieu of flowers, perform an act of kindness to someone in need of love and compassion.
