Obituary of Walter White

Walter L. White, Sr., 88, of East Hartford, beloved husband of Grace (Falotico) White, died Monday April 4, 2011 at home surrounded by his family. Born June 1, 1922 in Woodland, ME., son of the late Fidell and Mona (Greenier) White, he had lived in East Hartford since 1958. Walter had served in the U.S. Army during World War2 and was a member of the Army-Navy Club in Manchester. Besides his wife he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Walter L., Jr. and Christine White of Rocky Hill, 2 grandchildren Susan White of Wethersfield and Matthew White of Providence, RI, a niece Sandra Genung of Morris, CT. He was predeceased by a brother Newman White, a sister Sylvia Genung and a nephew Newman "Sonny" White, Jr. Funeral service will be Wednesday April 6, 9:15am from the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury. Burial with military honors will follow in Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. Friends may call at the funeral home TODAY from 4-7pm.
