Obituary of Augusta F. Glaser

Augusta “Gussie” (Gartner)Glaser, 96, of Glastonbury, previously of East Hartford passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 8, 2016. She is survived by her three daughters, Rita and her husband Dave Hoy of Florida, Hannelore and her husband Andrew Lyasoff of Massachusettes, Rosali and her husband Mark Greer of Glastonbury, CT. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and her special niece Hella Gough and her family. Gussie was born in Germany, December 1, 1919 and came to the United States in 1954 with her husband Joachim and became a U.S. citizen in 1956. She worked at G.Fox & Co. for many years. Upon her retirement she became very active with the East Hartford South End Senior Center. She served on their Board of Directors and participated in their many activities and trips. A special thank you to the staff and residents at Salmon Brook Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their compassionate care and friendship.
