Obituary of Sean J. Hickman

Sean J. Hickman, 47, of Glastonbury, beloved husband of Suzanne (Gardiner) Hickman, died Tuesday June 21, 2016 at Hartford Hospital with his loving wife at his side. Born November 4, 1968 in Hartford, son of the late Fulton and Mary (Foley) Hickman, he was raised in East Hartford and had lived in Glastonbury since 2008. Sean graduated from Western Connecticut State University and was a Director of IT for Wolters Kluwer in Hartford. He had several patents in his name. He was a member of the Irish American Home Society in Glastonbury. Besides his wife he is survived by his uncle William Foley of County Kerry, Ireland, his cousins, Liz and Terry Saunders of East Hartford, Jimmy and Debbie Lynch of Newington, Mary and Kristen Lynch of Glastonbury, Barbara and Ken Bigos of Suffield, Kevin and Katherine Foley of South Windsor, Patrick and Cathy Foley of Hicksville, LI and many more cousins in the U.S. and Ireland. He also leaves his father-in-law and mother-in-law Paul and Michaela Gardiner of Naples, FL, his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Patty and Evan Bleicher of Natick, MA and Neil and Diane Gardiner of Peapack, NJ, several nieces and nephews and his beloved dogs Zoe and Scup. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 6 at 11am in St. Christopher Church, 538 Brewer St., East Hartford (everyone please meet at the church). Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Tuesday July 5 from 4-8pm.
