Obituary of Brenda Fedrizzi Korn

Brenda Fedrizzi Korn, 58, of Glastonbury went to her heavenly father on November 6, her 58th birthday, after a long and courageous battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Brenda leaves behind her beloved husband Nathan and son Alexander. Brenda was the daughter of Bruno and Josephine Fedrizzi. She grew up on Lake Basile in Granby, Connecticut and graduated from Granby High School, Hartford College for Women and Skidmore College. She worked in Clinical Research at the Newington V. A. Center, UConn. Health Center, and Bristol Meyers Squibb. Brenda is also survived by her mother Josephine of Granby, Connecticut and brothers Marco Fedrizzi of Portland, Oregon and Trent Fedrizzi and his wife Bonnie Kraft, of Canton, Connecticut. Brenda is also survived by mother in-law Betty Korn of Buffalo, New York, brother and sister in law Kenneth and Kristen Korn of Warwick, New York, sister in law Kathryn Bram of Washington DC, nephew Anders Korn, and nieces Ingrid Korn and Sarah Bram. In her free time Brenda enjoyed hiking, cooking, cycling, skiing, gardening, crossword puzzles, and travel. For the last six years Brenda was actively involved in the Glastonbury Auxiliary Second Chance Shop. The family would like to express their appreciation to the Nurses and Aids of Hartford Health Care at Home, Dr. Stephen Firshein, Dr. John Russomanno, and Brenda’s special friend Joan Keating for all of their compassionate support during these last few months. Brenda was an inspiration in how she lived her life and in how she fought her lengthy battle with dignity and grace. Her love, smile, compassion and concern for others will always be a source of strength and a blessing to everyone she touched. She taught us to not mourn that which you’ve lost but to rejoice in what you’ve had. Funeral service will be Friday Nov. 11 at 10:00am in the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Village for Families and Children, 1680 Albany Ave, Hartford, Ct. 06105. For online condolences please visit www.myulryanfh.com.
