Obituary of Malcolm E. Swanson

Malcolm E. Swanson, 95, of Glastonbury, beloved husband of Katherine (Behonek) Swanson, died Sunday June 4, 2017 at Marlborough Health Care Center. Born November 12, 1921 in Chicago, IL, son of the late Carl and Elizabeth (Olson) Swanson. Prior to his retirement he was a draftsman for Kurtz Steel Co., and had served in the US Army during World War II. Besides his wife he is survived by his 3 children and their spouses, Doreen and Bill Doyle of Glastonbury, Barbara and Steve Serynek of FL, Brian and Jean Swanson of NC, a sister Betty Carlson of Chicago, 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be Thursday June 8 at 10am in the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. Burial with military honors will follow in the CT. Veterans Cemetery, Middletown. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday June 7 from 4-7pm.
