Obituary of Ellen Gallagher Leone

Ellen Gallagher Leone, born on July 30, 1922, passed away peacefully in her Glastonbury home as she wished and surrounded by her loved ones on August 14, 2017.  Prior to Ellen’s marriage in 1948 to Angelo (Spike) Leone, she was employed by Arrow Root Company in Hartford.  Ellen was a beloved wife and companion to her dear husband for 51 years. Known for her cooking, Ellen spent many hours in her kitchen delighting family and friends with her savory dishes. Ellen devoted her last forty plus years to the health, happiness and well being of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Ellen had a long and blessed journey and always knew that the good Lord was by her side. She will be missed, especially for the so many people who called her “Gram.”
