Obituary of Elizabeth Preputin Bowie

Elizabeth A. (Preputin) Bowie, 90, of Glastonbury, wife of the late Arthur Bowie and Raymond Telep, died Thursday September 28, 2017 at St. Mary’s Home. Born October 5, 1926 in Haskell, NJ, daughter of the late Charles and Ilona (Klocek) Preputin, she had lived in Glastonbury for the past 8 years. She was a longtime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Florida.  She is survived by her 4 children and their spouses, Raymond and Catherine Telep of NJ, Anna Marie and Kaz Samulis of Glastonbury, Edward and Brenda Telep of NJ, Arthur  Bowie Jr., and Charlene of NJ, a brother Charles Priputin and his wife Patricia of  KS, a sister-in-law Jane Preputin of NJ. She is also survived by her  grandchildren and their spouses, Stacey and Robert Steiner of NJ, Bethanie Telep of NJ, Laura and Steve Fredette of WI, Lucy and Wally Samulis of Rocky Hill, Lydia Lavoie of Newington, Anthony Buffalino of NJ, Scott and Kari Ollila of NC and 11 great grandchildren, Zachary, Emma and Matthew Steiner, Heather, Chloe, Jack and Leo Fredette, Jonathan, Juliana and Cassandra Lavoie, Natalie Ollila,  a niece Karen Priputin and 6 nephews, Chuck, Gary and Tory Priputin, James, Andrew and David Till.  She was predeceased by a granddaughter Robyn Telep-Buffalino, a daughter Sandra Bowden, a brother Andrew Preputin, a sister and brother-in-law Anne and James Till and nephews Michael and Justin Till. Friends may call Wednesday morning, October 4th at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury from 9:30 until 10:30am.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following the calling hour at 11am in The Church of Saint Dunstan, 1345 Manchester Rd., Glastonbury. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, CT.
