I spent a good bit of time with Bill as he trained me to take over his role as the mentor for Troop 39 Eagle Scouts. His notes, his organization, and his good sense were welcome. He was entrusting me with an approach to guiding future leaders that he had put a great deal of thought, innovation, and care into. He had a great sense of humor, he lived the Boy Scout way, and was a really pleasant man. His recipe for cooking a full beef tenderloin with rock salt, in parchment paper on an open fire, was memorable. I suspect he made a lifelong impression on every Scout and Scouter that worked with him over the years.

Bill was always a great friend, very cheerful and caring, a great guy to be with. Ready to share his life experiences if he thought that it would be helpfulI. I always looked forward to seeing him at our "Old Friends Luncheon" John Corl

As a part of our family we have wonderful memories of Bill, no matter if it was a cookout, birthdays or holidays-our special one would be Bill reading the Night Before Christmas on Christmas Eve, that book was given to our granddaughter Naya on her first Christmas-she is now going to be 22-with all the family around and everyone listening to Bill -no matter how old the grandchildren have become-especially his HO HO HO! You will be missed by all of us-love you! Barb and Don

I worked at Pratt with Bill for many years and remember him as an accomplished engineer and always a gentleman. He will surely be missed. Blessings to family.
