Doug and I were saddened to hear of Jim’s passing. Our condolences to Brendan and Lara, Connie and James and grandchildren Sean, Claire, Maura, Caitlin and Bridget. Also, to all our U.S. cousins in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Jim was an amazing guy. He was very family-focussed yet outstanding in his career and just so hospitable! We visited with Jim and Angela in Glastonbury, Niantic and Dingle and it was always a great time filled with love and laughter. I don’t think he ever missed a Keefe Family Reunion which has been happening every five years in Kinkora, Prince Edward Island since 1980. It was so wonderful to have him with us for this event in 2025. -Marion Keefe Clorey, Prince Edward Island, Canada

Both my wife Amy and I are very saddened to hear about Jim's passing. I worked with Jim at Purcell for over 32 years and during that time respected him and enjoyed working with him very much. He was always a source of stability and reason at Purcell and provided me with invaluable insight to both work and life in general during my time as a manager for Purcell in Boston. I always admired how Jim seemed to balance his family and work life so well and enjoyed seeing them at the company picnic every year. Jim, Angela and Connie were always very welcoming to my family and I every year and they were instrumental in making the picnics fun for all. Jim and Angela were very generous in letting my family stay at their house in Dingle for a several days when my son David was studying abroad in Dingle. We all feel very fortunate to have been able to experience that very special place and to be able to understand why Jim and Angela loved it there so much. We will keep Jim in our thoughts and prayers and will miss him.

Uncle Jim was a great man. I will always reflect on the road trip he and Aunt Angel took us on to attend the PEI Keefe family reunion in 1990. We got to stop by to visit his family, go to the basketball hall of fame and take a ferry out of Maine to Nova Scotia. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Brendan, Lara, Connie, James and all of uncle Jim’s beautiful grandchildren!

Jim was the rock of the Hebron Democrats in the 1980’s. He understood that the best politics, was dedication to family and community. And he led by example. Jim loved the Hebron Harvest fair, our annual opportunity to engage with family and friends. His passion for family, community and career was infectious, I will always treasure his mentorship.
