Obituary of Mabel S. Majek

Mabel “Mae” (Schena) Majek, of Glastonbury, widow of Benedict Majek, went to be with the Lord on February 3, 2021.  Daughter of John and Victoria Schena, she was born April 13, 1930 and was a lifelong resident of Glastonbury, CT. Mae was retired from The Travelers Insurance Company. She is survived by her daughter Karen Hawkins and her husband Jim of San Antonio Texas. Her sons Thomas Majek of Glastonbury and Scott Majek and his wife Amy and their four children of Brooklyn, CT.  Mae cherished time spent with her precious grandchildren, Eli, Sam, Olivia and Hattie. She also leaves her dear sister and best friend Jenny Castagna and her husband Dick, her brother John Schena and several nieces and nephews. Anyone who knew Mae was touched by her generous, loving and optimistic spirit. She always had a kind word for everyone and will be deeply missed.  A celebration of her life will be held in April.  Donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.  For online condolences please visit www.mulryanfh.com.
