Tim, my sincerest condolences to you and Douglas, along with Karen's family. I am so glad we had those brief few minutes to catch up at John's wake. Working with Karen was a pleasure. I enjoyed the time we shared an office. We butted heads from time to time, but I always respected her and always admired the way she took care of Tom when she was his assistant. She was over the moon when Douglas came into your lives and enjoyed bringing him into the office to show off!. It was so lovely to see how happy she was when she was holding that baby. I wish you and your family strength tell you to look for signs that she is with you still, she will leave them.
Penny.

Karen always chose to live fully and always chose to be present with you. She was available for you: to love, listen and participate as a friend, wife, mother, daughter. She had strong opinions and loved to love things. She loved some Yankee Candles for sure.
Karen always wanted to help you live too. In the good way. She wanted to contribute to the fullness of your life. A small but symbolic example. As a displaced Connecticut Yankee, whenever I had a chance to return to New England, wherever in New England, she wanted to contribute in the form of identifying the best lobster roll in my path. On my last visit, it was go to Jessica's Garden in Marlborough. It was incredible.
Karen, you made people better people just by being with us. You showed us how to fight to live and how to enjoy being alive. You were a living example of the impact a person can make on others by being there. We greatly miss you being here.
