My condolences to the family. I first met John when I was around 8 and went to his house with my brother Bob when he and Tony jammed together and I tagged along. It was also the first time I met his parents and still remember that day. Then a few years later we were teammates playing for Rotary in little league. The picture is from that time. That year, 3 of us were tied with the most home runs on the team. He was a great guy and every time I ran into him throughout the years he always had a smile on his face. His passing reminds me how fragile and short life is.

To the entire Spada family..I’m so very sorry for learning of the passing of John. John was such a huge part of our childhood neighborhoods growing up in East Hartford! We all knew and loved John! John was friends with everyone! He was funny, kind, caring, a great baseball player, a big personality.with all the wonderful attributes that everyone gravitated to! We all adored John and he was a friend to everyone! This one really hurts! My heart goes out to all his family, and long time friends…I personally remember John walking from the high school to O’Brien school to see me in a track meet I was running…I was nervous about the meet and he came for support…that was John! I’m sending love, comforting thoughts and my deepest sympathies to all his family and long time friends…All your EH peeps love you John and will never forget you!!! Rest in Peace my Friend…but make sure to Rock the Heavens every now and then…we’ll be looking for your precious signs ..l Love You Buddy….Rita O’Connor

Sandi, Nicole and family, please know we are thinking of you every day and are sending all our thoughts, prayers, and love. We have been friends for so long and John will truly be missed at all our parties, dinners and vacations we shared together. As others have said, he was always the life of the party and fought every challenge with strength and dignity. He is now at peace and can be the life of the party with all your angles in heaven. Love to you all.

To Sandi, Nicole and baby Vera,
We had the privilege of knowing John and will always remember the good times we shared with him in RI with Deb and Rick, Jessie, and Sandi and Nicole. Always with a smile and a kind word was the way John seemed to us. We enjoyed his company, and we are so saddened by the news of his passing.
The wonderful memories you have as a family, and all the laughs he shared with you will continue to provide you with the strength you will need to navigate this difficult time.
Please know our love and deepest sympathy is with you all.
Rest easy John.
Sincerely,
Kevin and Gina
