Jessica, I am just so heartbroken for you and your family. Even though I didn’t know your Mom, I know what a special person she was because YOU are so special. Please accept my sincere condolences. Huge hugs,

The Leaders of La Leche League of CT are saddened at the news of Jennifer's passing.
When her children were young, Jennifer was a Leader in the South Windsor Group and helped many breastfeeding families by sharing information, lending support and leading monthly meetings. During this time she also worked on several Area Parenting Conferences.
We remember Jennifer with affection and her dedicated service with gratitude and send our condolences to her family.
Sincerely,
La Leche League of CT Leaders

I worked side by side with Jen for a number of years. She was so smart and caring. When my son was in the hospital many years ago with a serious medical condition, Jen organized co-workers to provide meals to my family and she personally dropped them off. She came and had lunch with me at the hospital. I will always have a special place in my heart for her. To Matt, Jess & Sam, she loved you all so much and talked about you often!

Donna and I remember so many awesome times with Jen. She was always so generous and happy to see us and invite us to stay with her when we visited CT. We treasure the visits she made to see us in Orlando and Vero Beach, FL and FairPlay, CO. We also reminisce about the fun adventures and activities we were able to do with her such as; running a half marathon in New London and Ft Lauderdale, Scuba diving in Punta Cana, her joining us on the Appalachian Trail and cliff jumping in the Azores, Portugal. The first is a picture of Jen doing cliff jumping in the Azores. The second is the 3 of us taking a break and admiring the view at the end of the day after hiking and exploring the Azores islands in September 2024. We are so saddened that this was our last adventure with her, but extremely grateful we were able to enjoy this final trip with her! Jen was an awesome sister that will forever be missed.

On our trip to Stratton a couple years ago. We climbed the tower, hiked on the AT and Long Trail, shared the giant king-sized bed between three of us, hung new pics on the walls with 5 friends helping for each pic (you rolled your eyes and laughed at how many people it took to get it right, but joined right in to help, ha).

Jen – you were a dear friend to me and all of us in the running community and in our close-knit group. I still can’t accept that you are not with us. We had so many unfinished things yet to do. (I want to tell you how it’s going with my young pupil that you had such good advice about last week when I last saw you—I talked too much about this little child but you genuinely cared, and you liked solving dilemmas—You had such good advice about everything.
Thank you for the miles shared, the trips, the hikes, the races, RunSwimScone (you were our most faithful attendee of our Wednesday morning 5-mile runs around Old Wethersfield), the bike rides, the kayak excursions, the parties, the dinners, the dances….you were there for it all. We will miss you so much.
But you’re with God now, and that is a much-more amazing place to be, where there IS all joy and peace and health and love. So, we’ll bid adieu for now, dear friend, and see you later, in the heavenly realms.
Sending love to her children who were her everything. I know she would want you to be joyful, and be at peace. She was your rock but she would also want to say, it’s going to be ok. You’re going to be ok. She loved you all so dearly, but you’ve got this.
We love you Jen,
Wanda (and Dave) Hoople
