Obituary of Karen J. Soule

Karen J. Soule, 71, of Glastonbury, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at home. She was born on April 27, 1953, in Manchester to Marcel and Jacqueline (Auzou) Binette. Her parents shared a long, happy life together and raised a beautiful family of six children. Karen grew up surrounded by a large and loving family. She graduated from Manchester High School in 1971 and from Central Connecticut State College in 1976, after which she was employed by The Aetna Insurance Company in Hartford for over 20 years. She subsequently purchased and owned Tender Living Care, LLC, an agency dedicated to assisting with elderly care. She ran her business with a sense of pride as it allowed her to do what was so important to her: helping people and their families. Karen was a truly genuine, thoughtful, kind, and loving person. She had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh. She was adored by all who knew her and is greatly missed by them.

Karen thoroughly enjoyed her work with the elderly. She was an avid reader, loved to travel, and, above all else, spending time with her family. Karen’s sons, Jeff and Chris, meant the world to her, and she was so proud of them. It brought her great joy to know that they both have loving families of their own, and she was especially grateful for her five wonderful grandchildren.

Karen is survived by her sons, Christopher Soule and his wife Julie of East Hampton, their children, Ari and Raine, and Jeffrey Soule and his wife Valerie of Lebanon and their children, Connor, Caleb and Cohen. She is survived by her mother, Jacqueline A. Binette of Vernon, and her siblings, Joanne O’Neil of Niantic, Marilyn Plumridge, and her husband, James of Windsor, Michele Scheuer and her partner, Glenn Johnson of Hadley, MA, Theresa Chisnall and her husband, Chip of Enfield, and Daniel Binette and his wife, Dana of Willington. Karen is also survived by many nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Marcel J. Binette and her brother-in-law, David A. O’Neil.

Funeral services and burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the The Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011. For online condolences, please visit www.mulryanfh.com.
