So sorry to hear the loss of Joan. I only knew her from Church, She always sat in front of me, and we soke a little before Mas. She was sweet and gracious to me, she even brought me some of her homebaked cookies. Prayers for Joan, and may Godd give strength at this sad time. I do miss her already.

I met Joan over 30 years ago when she would come frequently to Foodshare to pick up food for her food pantry. We got to know each other over the years and I always enjoyed our brief visits when she came by our warehouse and would stop in and say "hello".. She would fill us in on her busy life -- travels, children, then grandchildren...She was always a bright spot in the day. Full of energy and always thinking of how she could make her pantry better and find a way to help more people. It has been a several years since I have seen Joan but she made a lasting impression and she will be missed.

Grandma being your grandson was the best gift I could ever ask for and being able to connect with you and speak to you as an adult made me appreciate the woman you are so much. And I’m going to miss your laugh and smile when my grandfather made some dumb joke he thought was funny but in reality you laughed out of pity. You made a tremendous impact on the world around you and I’m grateful everyday to have been apart of your family. I love you grandma and until we meet again, Sean

There is not enough words that could accurately describe the sadness I feel in my heart losing you grandma. I love you so much. Thank you for all the love, kindness, funny moments, wisdom, and care you showed me my whole life. You are one of the people I am so glad I got to look up to as a role model with all you did for others. Your kindness glows through me and the rest of my siblings and you are light. Thank you for laughing with me and listening to my ramblings. I miss you so much already.

Joan's passing has really affected me deeply. Joan and Jim truly do God's work. Joan has a heart of gold.
I met Joan when I was in nursing school many years ago when I visited the food bank as part of my community class. I was amazed at what I saw and instantly wanted to help. We formed a bond that continued for many years. I have an annual diaper drive at my church with all the proceeds going to Joan's community services. Every year I ask her if she wants to continue, and I always got a yes. I do it for the community but mostly for Joan. She truly is an angel of God. This year the drive will be in honor of her because I feel that she wants me to do this for her and I will.

Jim, Holly, and family please accept my deepest condolences for your loss.
Joan was an amazing example of humility and fostering community. The years I served with her in her cause and up until this day are valued so deeply by myself and everyone who has been impacted by it.
It was always astonishing to see how much she cared and what she went through to make a difference. Having seen all the iterations and growth that the pantry has gone through is truly remarkable.
I remember as a teen being begrudgingly dragged along on weekends to the pantry with my father to volunteer. But all these years later has been something that I look forward to. This coming Saturday is our diaper day, it will certainly be different but the thought that I can continue to support those in need, for Joan, will make it even more meaningful.

Jim and Holly, our sincerest condolences for your great loss, we were so blessed to have known her and your tribute honors her so beautifully, she would be in awe, she was so humble, a Legend in her own time and left a Legacy we are all so proud of. She was amazing, kind and generous. Joan treated our Red Cross Clients special, bagging groceries for fire victims to use under extenuating circumstances and conditions and allowed them to go to the JOAN C. DAUBER food bank often. We will love and miss her forever and thank you for asking for donations in lieu of flowers for Red Cross.
and we Salute and thank her for her service
