I will miss Arnie. He was my next door neighbor throughout my life. Always good to my mother after my dad died. Always a call away if I needed help. We spent time standing in our front yards talking and comparing notes on what yard chores to do next, or who to hire. He was a great man and neighbor. Pego Mack

Sending condolences to the family and friends of Sergeant Higgins. I had the privilege of getting to know Arnie when I worked at the local paper years ago. He was always friendly to a newcomer in town, which was much appreciated, and enjoyable to see around town in later years. A true Glastonbury original and a public servant who looked after others. Sgt. Higgins really enjoyed his career at the Glastonbury Police Department and was very well known in the community.He made a difference and ran a tight shift with the officers assigned to his squad.
