Obituary of Gloria E. Emerick

Gloria E. Emerick, 98, of South Glastonbury died on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at home. She was the widow of Charles V. Emerick. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on March 23, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Jennie (Cavanna) Jacomini. In 1938 she moved to Glastonbury, which is the former hometown of her parents and maternal and paternal grandparents. She was predeceased by her sister, Doris May Jacomini. She is survived by her son Roger and his partner Denise, daughter Karen, son Mark, daughter Linda and her partner Fred, her granddaughter Corey Lisa Emerick, as well as several beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends from near and far. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 5, 2025 at 10:00 am at SS. Isidore and Maria Parish in St. Augustine Church, 55 Hopewell Road, South Glastonbury. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday, May 4, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury.
