Obituary of Cris S. Rushby

Cris S. Rushby, 72, of South Glastonbury, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025 at home. She was born on May  25, 1952 to the late Roland and Ann (Chiba) Rushby in Springfield, MA.  Cris worked at The Hartford, Aetna, Travelers, as well as her own civic center. Cris is survived by her brothers Lynn, and his wife Marie, of East Granby, and Greg and his wife Regina of South Glastonbury. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her father Roland and her mother Ann. Services will be private.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the CT Humane Society www.cthumane.org. My Legacy

I have started my next adventure. One which will be the greatest of all. I have spent my life well with just being me. Along the way, I stumbled, found joy, sorrow, laughter, tears, love, understanding and being misunderstood, but most of all, I found how to be one with myself. The knowledge of who I am and the peace in living my life. Blessed along the way with loving parents, brothers, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, friends.

In the stillness of the night, solitude with God and nature is ever glorious. The heavens are open with the stars of those who have past to guide the way home. I will once again feel the warmth of arms from those who are in my heart. Those who have created a home for me to come too. A home I need to create for those to follow.
Do not mourn for me. The angels are calling me home.
