I think we met in Kindergarden or 1st grade, and continued all thru Stanley School, Nathan Hale Junior High, and New Britain High School; by age 6 or 7 you were the same easygoing, affable and friendly gentlemen you were as an adult. It’s been very nice to know you all these years. My sincere condolences to your family - they are blessed to have you! May memories console you now.

On behalf of the NBHS Class of 1959 I would like to express our deepest sympathy to the family of Rich Bucheri. Rich was our class Treasurer and he was respected and admired by his fellow classmates. He was shy but so loved by his friends. He was a leader who assumed responsibility and worked hard to achieve success. Rich continued to support his classmates and helped to make our 65th reunion held this past Sept a huge success. He had a great sense of humor and found joy in attending our planning meetings. It was fun to watch him reconnect with his classmates and remember the many experiences they all shared during his high school years. Rich will be missed by all and his memory will last. I was deeply saddened to learn about Richie's passing. Thinking back on our time together in high school, I remember him so fondly. He was a wonderful person whose kindness and friendly personality had an effect on everyone who knew him. His passion for basketball was infectious to those of us who cheered him on from the sidelines. What a fantastic captain he was and how much fun we all had together! Though it has been many years, the lasting memories of our shared experiences remain close to my heart. Richie made a positive impact on all of us! I graduated NBHS with Richy, and he was always one of he "good guys"! He was there with to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, treated everyone with respect, was friendlyand kind to all of us, Richy will always be remembered for his Basketball skills, his quiet nature, and for positive personality. I saw him at our last class reunion and it was wonderful to see that his personality had continued to grow, and , that he was still one of the "Good Guys"!
