Sandra was my best friend, she always remembers everyone's birthday. She spoke English very well and knew some Spanish, she used to says to me "my beautiful Puerto Rican friend." My heart is in pain. my beautiful and lovely friend. I met her in 1983. You are gone, but not forgotten. Marta Valencia

My condolences to Sandra's family. I grew up, and still live, on Hopewell Rd. in South Glastonbury. Her family lived close by in a historic house that dates back generations (of Italians). I occasionally like to explore it - pure history. In the mid 60's I picked blueberries with her brother Eugene at the Scalia farm on Matson Hill. In recent years Sandra has occasionally called me and my mother (Gloria) for pleasant (long) discussions. My mother (recently deceased) enjoyed those conversations and discussions of our past (the good old days) which Sandra so vividly recalled. Eugene attended the wake of my mother, and gave condolences on behalf of both he and Sandra. Thank you. I know Sandra's life will live on with all who knew her.
