I was witness at your wedding. You and Adri were so happy that day. I don’t think I’ve seen you smile as much as you did that day. Unfortunately I was unable to come to your funeral but I will be at your tribute service in New Jersey.

Shawn, you were truly one of a kind. You always had us cracking up - never a dull moment with you around.
Who the heck am I gonna bust chops with now?! I’ll never forget all the laughs, the good times, and our talks.
You had a heart of gold, and man, you’ll be missed big time. I know you’re out there riding that motorcycle free and raising a little hell on the other side. Thanks for being you and for always looking out for Adri.

Shawn, I’ll never forget everything you did for me and my sister. You really loved my mom, and you always made sure we felt that love too. Everywhere we went, you’d point out and proudly say, “I paved that,” and we’d all act impressed, even though we were just teasing. You were so proud of your work, that’s one of the things I loved most about you.. I remember singing that silly paving song to you in the mornings and how happy it made you.
You even took us trick-or-treating when you could’ve been watching football. Family movie nights were the best, even if you always picked the worst movies..and if it was a good one, you’d spoil the ending anyway. Game nights were full of laughter, and decorating the Christmas tree with you me and my mom dancing around and rolling your eyes at how corny we were is something I’ll always hold close.
You were an amazing stepdad who cared so deeply for the people you loved, and you always kept us together, even when things were hard. We’re going to miss you so much,
ps: your stocking will continue to stay up on the fireplace every Christmas.

Girls this made me cry so hard. I am so proud of you . Of all my mistakes I made in life , me and your father raised the most beautiful girls inside and out with the greatest heart . Here I am supposed to be supporting you . Here you guys are supporting me . I know you loved Shawn and are grieving yourselves, yet you never left my side. You are my strength and 1st loves . Yes we will continue all traditions and never forget Shawn . He loved u and he is with Granma smiling upon us . Love you

Where do I start? Shawn was as Carol, and I often joked "my husband". He was so kind, and you couldn't help but love him if you met him. He was such a "gentle soul". I loved to hear him laugh. He had such a hardy laugh, and you knew it was sincere. Sending prayers and condolences to all of the family. You all have gained an angel. Shawn will ALWAYS be with you all.
