I was wondering how Paul was because I didn't see him in the GHS reunion railroad video, just his son. The end of the video devastated me, paying tribute to him. We were friends. I visited him long ago after moving to AZ, and last year he sent me a box of his excellent Macoun apples. I'm in AZ so I was going to send him oranges, but oh my. Writing this with tears....

When I remember my early years in Glastonbury, I remember Paul. He was the one who shown brightest—strongest, loudest, funniest, hard-working. We all wanted to be on his team. Proud of the thriving operation he created that sustains his farm (I work for American Farmland Trust). So sad. So young. I will keep thinking of him and his family. Jimmy Daukas

My condolences to the family. He was a great man and a very kind neighbor. I remember him as a little kid living down the street at my uncle's house. Whenever he needed a helping hand my uncle and I were always there to help. Paul will be deeply missed

Paul was a force of nature and a wonderful human being. I have fun memories of being a passenger in his car and playing, mostly watching, Paul play football. You will be missed Paul.

I remember going to Paul's house for his birthday party one year. A bunch of us got on a toboggan and rode down the hill. Major wipeout at the bottom. We were laughing like crazy.

Paul was only a couple of years older than me but I have such standout memories of my time picking strawberries for him and his Dad. We would arrive at the fields around dawn and Paul was in charge of us....as soon as his Dad was out of sight the fun began! ...all in fun, we would get pelted with rotten berries and more. Those were the days..... my heart goes out to his lovely family, may your memories help you through this time. You are in my prayers. Lisa Grogan Shaw

I had the opportunity to play alongside Paul on the Glastonbury High School Football team of 1974
We won the very first CVC. (Central Valley Conference) Championship that Glastonbury ever won. Paulie spear headed the defense. He will always be remembered as a fearsome Tomahawk My Condolences to his family

My deepest condolences to the entire Cavanna Family.
Paul would always greet me with "How you doing today smiling".
We'd small talk about our current weather, and temps at the farm then onto to tractor work or chores somewhere on the farm reached by Paul's quad.
Gods Blessings to the entire Cavanna Family.
Paul is watching over all of you with Love and Strength.

Everyone should have a friend like Paul in their life! We have so many silly, serious, triumphant, loving memories with Paul. Heaven gained an angel, well an angel with a little bit of devil!
