Ewald and Helga were very dear friends of my parents for 60+ years… Now Ewald is reunited with Helga… Ewald was a very smart and practical man and I always enjoyed our conversations…
God bless the Dickau family.

I’m so sorry to hear about Ewald’s passing. I’m relieved to hear he went in peace and is reunited with Helga. They took me in as part of the family when I was a new immigrant in late 1980s, and I am forever grateful for their generosity, love and care.
We have worldly differences with cultural backgrounds and religious beliefs. But none of that distanced us from our friendship. They showed me the best of America, and what it means by being American. I will miss them dearly.
I’m so glad that I had a chance to see Ewald on June 20th, and to thank him in person for being such a great friend. I will treasure the last picture we took together.
My condolences to the family.

I have many memories of Mr. Dickau. He was always gracious and hospitable to us as a family and also to the church when they opened their house for congregational picnics! I know my dad worked for him and I remember that he got me a job at Loctite for the J term during college. He always shared big thoughts with us and we very much delighted in his laugh and joy in God‘s creation. I especially remember when he would come over to our house and enjoy eating currents that my mom grew! Our prayers are with you during this difficult time and we hope the faith in God that he is so clearly shared throughout his life will uphold you in the days ahead. Norbert Mamet
