Mr. Amaral....I think I called you that one time and never again! You became "Pops" or "Poppy" as your grandkids would call you. Thank you for welcoming me into your family with a smile and the tightest hug ever! I only wish I met you sooner so that I could share more memories with you. The little time I did get to spend with you was enough to show me what a kind, gentle man you were and how much you were loved by your family. We will meet again and I will finally be able to make those meatballs that I promised you! I will never forget our "See you later alligatah....in a while crocodile!" every time you left our house. The entire Amaral family was blessed to have such a wonderful father, husband, and “Poppy”. He led the family with kindness, demonstrated hardworking values, and delighted us with a sense of humor that will keep his 5 grandchildren laughing onto old age themselves. We have lost so much by losing Pop, but our memories will keep us laughing, loving and living as Dad would have wanted.

Dad. I will be with you again someday. I will continue to walk in the Light and make you proud of me. You are deeply Loved and the memories I have with you will carry me through. Thank you for being such a great Dad, for always being there whenever I needed you. You have always been my rock and although I’m not sure how to navigate without you here, I will trust that you will be right here with me, guiding me. I am so very proud that you are my Dad.
