Obituary of Allan D. Amaral, Sr.

Allan Dennis Amaral, Sr., 82, of Glastonbury, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025. Born on July 24, 1943, in Manchester, Connecticut, Allan lived a full and vibrant life marked by dedication, deep passions, and enduring love for his family.

He attended Rider College in New Jersey, where he began shaping the values of determination, dedication, and hard work that guided him throughout his life. Though he explored widely, he remained deeply connected to his Connecticut roots and embraced every opportunity for learning and personal growth.

Allan shared a devoted marriage with his beloved wife, Diana. Together they raised four children—Allan Jr. (Fiancé to Clara Vasconcellos), Michael (married to Laura Condon Amaral), Lara, and Julie—who were the center of his world. He took immense pride in being a father and found his greatest joy in watching his family grow. He was also a cherished grandfather to five grandchildren—Luke, Drew, Jack, Ryan, and Jenna—each of whom brought him tremendous happiness.

Allan was predeceased by his parents, Elsie and Armindo Amaral; his sister, Janice Amaral; and his daughter-in-law, Karen Jorve Amaral, mother of Ryan and Jenna.

A man of many interests and talents, Allan had a lifelong passion for cars—especially Corvettes—which he treasured throughout the years. His love of automobiles was matched by his appreciation for the sea and the outdoors. Whether tending his garden, working on projects around the house, camping in his younger years, or embarking on long motorcycle adventures, Allan found peace, purpose, and joy in nature and hands-on creativity.

May the memory of Allan bring comfort to all who knew and loved him.  In honoring his wishes, he was cremated, and no public ceremony will be held. The family will gather privately to celebrate and remember his life with love.
