Obituary of John Joseph Wynne III
John Joseph Wynne Ill passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025 at home with his family after a brief illness. He was the husband of Diane (Tremaglio) Wynne for 34 years. Born in New Haven, CT on Christmas Eve, he was the son of the late John and Jeanne (Hutchinson) Wynne.
John was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a graduate of Hamden High School and the University of New Haven. He was an Army veteran serving 6 years in the Connecticut Army National Guard. He spent most of his working career in technology most recently at Lincoln Financial until his retirement. He was an avid New York sports fan rarely missing a Yankee or Giants game.
In addition to his wife, he leaves 4 children to cherish his memory. John (Christine) of Beverly, Ma., Erin (John) Watson of Cheshire CT, Andrew Wynne and his fiancé Jackie-Lyn Arseneault of Manchester CT and Samuel Wynne of Glastonbury, CT. He also leaves two sisters, Maureen Ford of Hamden CT and Susan Hall of North Haven and one brother, Patrick Wynne of Hamden. He was predeceased by his brother Michael Wynne and sister Mary Catherine Wright. He also leaves 4 grandchildren Madeline Wynne, Ella, Jack, and Delaney Watson as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 7 from 11am to 1pm with a service at 1pm in Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Saint Jude Children’s Hospital (stjude.org) For online condolences please visit www.mulryanfh.com
