Obituary of David R. Smith

David R. Smith, 56, of Marlborough, beloved husband of Iuliia (Sierienko) Smith and devoted father of Nicol Smith, died Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Hartford Hospital, surrounded by his wife and daughter. He was born in Hartford on November 26, 1969, to the late Roy and Shirley (Merritt) Smith. David was a General Manager at Brookfield Enterprises.

In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, watching football, playing cards, working on construction projects, and relaxing whenever he could.

Besides his wife Julia, David is survived by his daughter, Nicol; his sisters, Roberlie and Wendy; and his brother, Tommy. He was predeceased by his brother Roy and his sister Tammy.

A celebration of David’s life will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at 1:00 pm, followed by Military Honors, at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury.
