Obituary of Ronald Kent Cropley, Sr.
Ronald K. Cropley, Sr., 88 of Glastonbury passed away on Thursday, December 11,2025. He was the beloved husband of Rose M. (Fafrak) Cropley for 60 years.
He was the son of the late Delbert and Emily Cropley. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Pratt & Whitney after 40 years of working in the experimental lab. Living in his 100% Irish heritage, having a Guinness in hand, was a very good day to be had! He was an avid gardener into hydroponics. His hobby-size greenhouse was on the front cover, in the living color of an issue of the Hobby Greenhouse Association. He leaves a legacy of love for family and dedication, built moment-by-moment by living authentically, highlighting his selfless giving. In his words, "My Pride Is My Family." He resided in his home in Glastonbury for 52 years. A Special Message goes out from his family, dedicating a heartfelt, "Thank you" to The Anonymous Wickham Rd Neighbor, who threw a reflective vest at him one particular morning, We Thank You! He enjoyed his Daybreak Morning walks, every waking day, wearing his lucky vest. Raising a Guinness in Celebration of a long-lived life, "To all the days here and after, may they be filled with fond memories, happiness and laughter." He was a good man.
In addition to his wife, Ronald is survived by his daughter Denise Burtchell and her partner Keith Mackin of Norwich, his son Ronald K. Cropley Jr and his wife Kristen Cropley of Lebanon, his grandchildren Jason and Sarah Cropley and Justin Burtchell and his partner Tory Adams and Rebecca Burtchell as well as his great grandchildren Rowdy and Ryder Burtchell and Hailey Forbes.
