Obituary of Constancio Revilla Accibal, Jr.
Constancio "John" Accibal, age 93, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025. He was in Manchester, CT, surrounded by loved ones. He died 94 days after his beloved wife.
Born on February 6, 1932, in the Philippines, John pursued a fulfilling career as a Civil Engineer PE. He earned his degree from the University of the Philippines and furthered his education at the University of Michigan.
John possessed the remarkable gift of bringing joy to every room he entered. His friends and family knew him as a masterful storyteller who could weave ordinary moments into extraordinary tales, leaving everyone laughing. Quick-witted and perpetually optimistic, he found genuine pleasure in making others happy and creating lasting memories through his storytelling.
Among his treasured stories, none brought him more delight than recounting how he met his beloved wife, Aurora. He would regale listeners with the tale of how he and a friend, perched on a fire escape at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, crashed a party where Aurora and her friend—two adventurous students from Iowa on a road trip—were visiting. This chance encounter on that fire escape would become the foundation of a love story he cherished throughout his life.
He is survived by his three children, grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. His family was the center of his life, and he supported them with love and laughter.
John's legacy lives on in the countless smiles he created, the laughter he shared, and the joy he brought to all who knew him. His warm spirit and gift for finding humor in life's moments will be deeply missed.
John was a devout Roman Catholic and was actively involved in his church community. Furthermore, his deep commitment to his faith was reflected in his daily life. As a family man at heart, he cherished spending time with his loved ones, always prioritizing family gatherings and ensuring that his home was filled with love and laughter. As a result of this devotion, John lived a rich and vibrant life that touched countless hearts through his infectious humor and generous spirit. His enduring commitment to his faith, profession, and family will be dearly remembered by all who knew him. Ultimately, we are comforted that he has joined his beloved wife for eternity.
