Obituary of Peter R. Manfredi
Peter R. Manfredi crossed the Rainbow Bridge on January 4, 2026. Born to the late Anna and Anthony Manfredi, he lived most of his life in Glastonbury and South Glastonbury CT. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Patricia (Trish)Manfredi, his daughter Christie Wingo, his son Anthony Manfredi; grandchildren Kailee Van Every (Philip), and great granddaughters Elizabeth and Abigail of Albuquerque, NM; granddaughter Steffani Gallegos (Tony) of Bosque Farms, NM and grandson Joshua Wingo (Mindy) of Loogootie, IN.
Peter served Glastonbury as a member of the Glastonbury Police Force, including supervising the Explorer Scouts. He also worked surveying for Megson and Heagle prior to joining the Postal Service in Kensington, CT and Chandler, AZ. He served over 20 years as a letter carrier. In addition, he turned his interest in vintage milk bottles into a business as well as serving as vice chair of the National Association of Milk Bottle Collectors, and as President of the Somers Antique Bottle Club. He was also a member of the Matson Hill Club in South Glastonbury, and the Italian Political Independent Club in Kensington. He served on the Facilities Committee of the Historical Society of Glastonbury. Peter and his wife were active in Virginia Siamese Rescue, fostering, evaluating, and transporting over 65 Siamese cats over 15 years. He was a graduate of Manchester Community College.
Calling hours will be Friday, January 16, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Avenue, Glastonbury CT.
