Obituary of Gleora B. Davis

Gleora Davis, formerly of Hingham, MA; Westbrook, CT; and Glastonbury, CT, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Karam; her daughter, Jill Davis Kinney; and her former husband, Robert Phelon. Gleora is survived by her beloved son, Neal Phelon, as well as her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy. She also leaves behind her sisters, Linda Budd and Patricia Ekman, along with many dear friends, including the Kinney family, for whom she held deep gratitude and affection.

Gleora grew up along the New England shore, where her lifelong love for boating and the ocean was born and never faded. She attended Thayer Academy and Forsyth Dental School, pursuits that reflected her curiosity and dedication. An avid golfer, she especially treasured the camaraderie and laughter shared with friends after a round on the course.

Gleora lived by the belief that “Life was a present — untie the ribbon,” a philosophy she embodied through her appreciation for family, friendship, and the simple joys of life. She will be remembered for her gift of baking, warmth, spirit, and the love she gave so freely to those around her.
