Obituary of Robert P. Armando

Robert P. Armando, 92, a lifelong resident of South Glastonbury passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, January 12, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Adeline (Posuniak) Armando for 67 years.

Born in Hartford, Robert was the son of the late Peter J. and Mary (Calamari) Armando and his birth mother Lydia (Piatti) Armando. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean War. Robert worked for the Connecticut Department of Agriculture traveling the state as a livestock inspector.  He retired in 1988. Robert spent his entire life dedicated to farming, honoring his family heritage.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children daughter Kathie and husband Brian Christie and their daughter Grace of Glastonbury, son Robert Jr. and wife Karen Armando and their children of Glastonbury, son Peter and wife Jennifer Armando and their son of Colchester and daughter Karen McKenzie and Scott and son Austin Dolan of Hebron.
