We are so sorry to hear about the passing of Claire. She was always kind, thoughtful, and funny. Claire was a beautiful person who touched the lives of many people. May she rest in peace. Our deepest condolences, the Anderson family (Kristine, Don, Katie, Karleen and the entire extended family).

I can’t call her Claire and I can’t call her Mrs Hamill. She will always and forever be Mrs D to me. I stayed at her house so much, I had my own drawer in the dresser. My mom is my hero but Mrs D was my 2nd mom. Kind, loving and giving don’t begin to describe her….the best description can give is a beautiful soul and the patience of a saint when her boys and I were running ruffshod all over the house, in the driveway or playing whiffle ball home run derby in the backyard pelting the house. The world was always a better place with Mrs D in it and she will be missed tremendously. God speed to the neighborhood mom and may you rest in peace.

Claire was"one of the ladies," a life long friend to my mother. I think they connected decades ago in St. John's Mother's Circle or Women's Guild. She carried herself gracefully. Always kind, classy and funny. Her circle of close friends will deeply miss her.

I am going to miss my yearly birthday messages which always began "!Hi Sharon, this is Mrs. Hamill but you probably know me better by Mrs D". I spent a lot of time growing up with "Mrs D" and her BFF, my mom Carol. I remember being buried in groceries for two families with 7 combined kids after our trips to Heartland. Thinking of Jim, MAD and Joe and all who loved this wonderful woman.

Claire was one of my best friends for many years. We shared
many happy and also sad memories. We were always there for each other. Although it might be a blessing in disguise for her, it doesn't lessen our sadness. May she rest in peace and watch over all of us. Carol Brooks
