Obituary of Claire C. Hamill

Claire Catherine (Kent) Hamill, 86, passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside in Manchester Manor. She was the daughter of Mary and Charles. Kent. She leaves a loving husband James E. Hamill; her children Mary Anne Anagnos (George), Joseph DiVicino, Michael Hamill (Jennie) and predeceased by Peter DiVicino; her Grandchildren Alexandra Anagnos, John Anagnos, Julia Siericki (Kyle), Nicholas DiVicino, Alison DiVicino, Kristi Sharkevich (Rob), Phoebe Hamill, Penelope Hamill and Joseph DiVicino,Jr, and Greatgrandchildren Jourdane and Adrianna Sharkevich.

Additionally, she leaves her longtime friends Dee Sinacrope, Carol Brooks and Rene Gugliamino; special Godchildren Christine and Christopher.

Claire's wide spanding work career includes French teacher, programmer-analyst, IT manager, office manager and restaurant owner. Her special interests included Italian culture and language, European river cruises, reading, mah jong, and five trips to Florence, Italy. Claires favorite charities include St. Judes Children’s Hospital, and St Dunstan's RC parish.  The family sends a special thank you to her caretaker Marisol Cruz. 

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 11:00 am at St. Dunstan Church, 1345 Manchester Rd., Glastonbury. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
