Obituary of Angela Lavinio

Angela (Sapia) Lavinio, 96, of Glastonbury, formerly of Wethersfield, CT, Charlestown, RI and Vero Beach, FL, beloved wife of the late John Lavinio passed away peacefully March 24, surrounded by family.

Born in Hartford, she graduated from Weaver High School and then attended hairdressing school. She married the love of her life in 1950, and they raised their family in Wethersfield. Angela owned and operated Angela’s Beauty Salon in West Hartford, CT.

In retirement, Angela and John enjoyed spending time between Charlestown, RI and Vero Beach, FL. The beach house in Charlestown, RI (“La Buona Vita”) was the frequent gathering spot for summer vacations, holiday celebrations and fun times with family and friends.

She is survived by her children Stephen J. Lavinio, his wife Patricia; daughters Donna Acker, her husband Michael, Pamela Hutchinson, her husband Kenneth along with seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Memories of Angela’s love of life will forever be carried in the hearts of those who knew her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 10:00 am at SS. Isidore and Maria Parish in St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury. Burial will be in Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Rd., Bloomfield, CT. Friends may call on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury, CT.
