Obituary of Petra Lucinda Preli

Petra Lucinda (Willis) Preli, 78, of South Glastonbury, beloved wife of the late Richard Preli passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 26, 2026.  She was born in Hartford on August 1, 1947 to the late Lester and Marie (Gulliksen) Willis.  Petra was a farmer for most of her life. She loved her horses and her pet cats and dogs. She was very independent and would travel the country in her RV with her dog. She was a talented watercolor painter. Petra is survived by her sister Sandy Stitt and her husband John, of Florida, her nieces Jenny Mays and Rachel DeMay, her nephew Michael Willis, as well as her cousins Kathy and Ned, Janet, and Karen. Besides her husband and parents, Petra was predeceased by her brother Wyman Willis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 1 at 10:00am in SS Isidore and Maria Parish at St. Augustine Church, 55 Hopewell Road, South Glastonbury. Burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery, South Glastonbury. A visitation will be held prior from 8:30am to 9:30am at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury, CT.
