Obituary of Edward D. Bobrowski
Edward David Bobrowski passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Hartford Hospital at the age of 79 years old. He was loved by many who also knew him as “Ed” “Eddy” “Papa” and “Skipper”.
Edward was born on April 14, 1947 in New Britain Connecticut to Katherine Bobrowski and Edward Leo Bobrowski. He grew up in New Britain and East Hartford, CT.
After Edward graduated from George Penny High School, he enlisted himself to the United States Marine Corps in June of 1966 and served in the Vietnam Conflict. He was promoted to the rank as a Lance Corporal, commonly known as the backbone of the Marines. He was recognized for his marksmanship. After serving 3 years 6 months and 44 days in the USMC, he returned home to earn his E1 as an electrician. Edward owned and operated The Main Circuit for 20 years.
Edward married Susan (Delmore) Bobrowski on May 24, 1969 and they raised two children David Bobrowski and Jeffrey Bobrowski in East Hartford, CT.
Edward enjoyed nautical adventures such as fishing and sailing. He was known for his unique sense of humor, love for animals, proud USMC veteran and strong faith as a Catholic.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 57 years Susan Bobrowski, son David Bobrowski and daughter in-law Allison Bobrowski, son Jeffrey Bobrowski and daughter in-law Elizabeth Deleo and ex-wife Ionna Bobrowski, grandchildren Alexia Bobrowski, Noah Bobrowski and Mckayla Bobrowski, and great grandchild Kevin Johansen and sister in-law Grace Bibisi and brother in-law Raymond Bibisi, his best friend and Cousin Les Giddings, as well as several family members and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; Katherine and Edward L. Bobrowski.
The family of Edward will offer calling hours at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave Glastonbury, CT 06033 on May 20, 2026 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Additionally, there will be a mass service held at St. John Fisher Church, 33 Jones Hollow Road, Marlborough, CT on May 21, 2026 at 11:00 am. Concluded with a private burial for immediate family members at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made out to St. Jude's Hospital, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
