Obituary of Kathleen Fay Dilworth
Kathleen Dilworth of Coventry passed away Friday, July 3rd after losing her battle with cancer. Kathy was a loving and devoted daughter to Joanne Gibbs of Naples, FL, mother to Katherine Dilworth, Michael Dilworth and the late Stephen Dilworth. In addition to her mother and children, Kathy is survived and will be greatly missed by her grandsons Chase Kaminski, Otto Dilworth, Octavian Hejnar and Malcolm Dilworth.
Kathy was born in Boston and worked as a nurse for nearly 40 years, providing loving care to her patients as if they were family. She consistently went above and beyond for the people in her care and her compassion extended far beyond her patients.
Kathy’s love of all living things was one of the qualities that defined her. She had an immense love for animals of all kinds and rescued countless cats and dogs, often adopting them into her own home. She could spend hours talking about what was growing in her garden or the latest creature to wander into her yard, which inevitably became another welcome addition.
Her spirit of caregiving extended to every aspect of her life, but nowhere was it more evident than in the love she had for her children. She expressed that love through home-cooked meals, baking birthday cakes and making someone feel extra special through a favorite meal.
