Dear Connie,
We are so sorry to hear of Vin's passing. We are sending confolencenses and prayers from Myrtle Beach to you, during this difficult time. We are blessed to have had you and Vin as a neigbor, fellow Barefoot Church prayer team partners, the leader of the BFC Care Ministery. and as our friend. We missed seeing Vinnie jogging through the neighborhood around the five mile loop .We were always impressed with his pace, and how much he enjoyed running. May God hold you close and give you and your family peace and comfort, in Jesus Name. Much love, Bob and Aseniah Wallace

Papa had a contagious laugh and loving spirit that I will always cherish. He taught me and my siblings water confidence allowing us to swim on his back while he went back in forth underwater in the pool. He was doing this well into his 70’s. I never noticed how tough he was for putting up with us relentless kids. I will always remember the way he smacked the table whenever he found something funny. May God be with you in heaven Papa.

Dear Connie: Although we only knew Vin as neighbors at Meadow Hill, we became friends because of his sense of humor and personality, but also because both of you volunteered your time to provide the Board of Directors with your knowledge and experience. Also, just so you know, the exercise class at the community center used to sing “Sweet Caroline” in his honor even when he could no longer be there. We are saddened to learn of his passing, but send love and prayers to you and your family.

Vin, Connie, Kim, and I shared a very close and precious friendship for 30 years. The highlight that Vin and I reminisced about numerous times was when we took a vacation together to Hawaii. One afternoon Vin and I took a jog together along the road at the top of the cliffs with the ocean waves rolling in below, breaking on the volcanic rocky points and small intermittent sandy beaches. There were flowers everywhere and a distant rain shower caused a beautiful double rainbow. I think that moment was as close to heaven on earth as we could ever share.
