Obituary of Vincent J. Liscomb, Sr.

Vincent “Vin” Liscomb, 83, of Glastonbury, passed away peacefully at home on July 10, 2026, surrounded by his family. Born on May 8, 1943, in Ware, Massachusetts, Vin grew up in Barre and graduated from South Barre High School before proudly serving six years in the United States Army, including time stationed in the Panama Canal Zone. After completing his military service, he earned his Bachelor’s of Education from Keene State College, where he met the love of his life, Constance “Connie” Kennedy. They were blessed with 59 years of marriage.

After moving to Connecticut, Vin and Connie began building both their family and their careers. Vin spent 17 years at Travelers before founding his own company, Risk Control Systems, which he successfully operated until his retirement.

Vin’s first priority was always his family and his devotion to his Lord Jesus Christ. He is survived by his beloved wife Connie; his sons Vinnie Jr. and his wife Stephanie, Scott Liscomb, and Todd Liscomb and his wife Trish. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren: Siena and Emma Liscomb; Kylee and Peyton Webster; Brady, Blake (Michael), Bree, and Brooke Liscomb; Blake (Ryan) Liscomb; and Lindsey and Haylie Stanley. Additionally, Vin leaves behind his sister Valerie DelGuidice and her husband Paul (and family), his brother Martin Liscomb, his brother‑in‑law Kevin Morrison, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Viola and Edward Rucidlo, his parents‑in‑law Helen and Frank Kennedy, and his sisters‑in‑law Mary (Kennedy) Speroni and Debbie (Kennedy) Morrison.

Vin spent his life honoring and serving the Lord. For more than 35 years, he served faithfully as a deacon, marriage counselor, and financial counselor at Church of the Living God in Manchester, CT. After retiring to North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, he continued his ministry at Barefoot Church (now Valorous Church) for five years. Upon returning to Connecticut seven years ago, Vin remained committed to teaching and encouraging others at River Church and Glastonbury Community Church—and most importantly, wherever he went. His legacy of faith, kindness, and quiet daily blessings touched countless lives.

Vin will be remembered for his beautiful singing voice, his wonderful sense of humor, and his gentle kindness, all of which reflected the love of Christ.

For the past 17 years, Vin faced cancer—and, in the last two years, Parkinson’s Disease—with extraordinary courage, unwavering faith, and a positive spirit that inspired everyone around him.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the nursing staff, aides, and entire team at The Residence at Glastonbury for their exceptional care, compassion, and support throughout the past 18 months. Deep appreciation is also extended to Trinity Health Hospice and Heaven’s Hands Home Care Agency for their attentive care during these final weeks. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Avenue, Glastonbury, CT followed by a Christian funeral service at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
