Obituary of Helen J. Dahl

Helen J. (Posuniak) Dahl passed peacefully surrounded by family on July 12, 2026. She was born into the large family of her Polish immigrant parents and enjoyed 68 years of life and adventures with her husband Herman. Their honeymoon on the Outer Banks NC set the stage for a lifetime of beach vacations and camping adventures that she shared with her family.

Helen always showed her love through nurturing and educational experiences. She shared her love of the beach and historic locations with any and all. She would be certain to hold her children's or grandchildren's hands while climbing the Hatteras Lighthouse or beachcombing for shells, beach glass and sand dollars. Whether it was weeks camping at the beach in OBX, the Rhode Island shore or adventures in Europe, one could always find some small shell or knick knack from that location. The memories of a lifetime and her lessons in life will carry on, one day at a time.

Helen is survived by her loving husband Herman W. Dahl Jr., her three children Valerie A., H.D William III, Christina and her wife Robin and grandchildren Cadis and Natalie. She is predeceased by 8 brothers and sisters and survived by her youngest sister Adeline.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at 11:00 am at SS. Isidore and Maria Parish in St. Augustine Church, 55 Hopewell Road, South Glastonbury. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury.
