Obituary of Katherine O. Delahunt

Katherine O. Delahunt, 94, of Haddam, formerly of Glastonbury, beloved wife of the late Clement Delahunt, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 20, 2026. She was born on June 8, 1932 in Rutland, VT, the daughter of William A. and Mary (Duffy) Onion. Katherine and Clement were Married at St. Peter Church, Rutland, VT in 1958. They lived in Wethersfield in 1966 and then Glastonbury in 1998. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, and dollmaking. Katherine was a devoted mother to Mary Beth Merola, Nancy Basque, and her husband, John of MA, Heather Kick and her husband Ronald of Ivoryton, and Clement Delahunt III.
She was also a loving grandmother to Kevin Hildenbrandt and wife Jennifer, Kara Spark and husband Mike, Larissa Bussiere and her husband Josh, Christopher Basque, Emma Kick, Morgan, Kelsey, Josie and Crystal Delahunt and her great grandchildren Landon and Trenton Bussiere, Madeline Spark and Finley and Goldie Hildenbrandt.
Besides her husband, Katherine was predeceased by her brothers William Onion, Hugh Onion, Carlos Onion, and her sister Mary Onion Seal.
