Obituary of Georgeta Artemie

Georgeta Artemie, 82, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026. She was born on January 30, 1944, in Codlea, Romania, the youngest of two daughters born to Gheorghe and Victoria Tecusan. She held a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering and worked for decades in the industry in Romania, before emigrating to the United States, her mother's country of birth, with her three sons. She held various positions in food service, before retiring in 2009 and dedicating her time to raising her four grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Stelian Artemie, her sister Nineta Victoria and her parents. She leaves behind her three sons, Alexandru, Christian and Eugen, her daughters-in-law Roxana and Lavinia, and her four grandchildren, Alex, Laura, Andrew and Paul. She is also survived by her extended family living in Romania, Canada, Germany and Connecticut, Massachusetts, Ohio & Florida. She will be remembered for her generosity, fantastic cooking, love for opera and classical music and total dedication to her family.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at 12:30 pm at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to gather on Monday, August 3, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
