I remember meeting Agnes with my father when I was 18, around the spring of 2010. I hadn't been connected to that side of the family before then, so we went up from Ohio to stay with her and Richard. I had a necklace that broke while we were staying them. I was sad because I really liked it, but I figured it was lost, so I left it in the waste bin in the guest bedroom. It was about three weeks later that I received a large envelope in the mail, containing my necklace, repaired and stronger than ever. I still have it.
I did not have the good fortune to know Agnes well, but I am grateful to have met her and to be able to call her family.
