Obituary of Scott David Sawyer

Scott David Sawyer, 60, of Marlborough, beloved husband of Karen (Konatich) Sawyer, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. He was born on July 26, 1966 in Rochester, NY to Gaylord and June (Delong) Sawyer.

Scott graduated with an MBA in Management from New York University and a Masters in Computer Science from Boston University.

Scott worked over 35 years in Information Technology in various industries.

Besides his wife, Karen, Scott is survived by his sons, Riley and Regan, his mother June Dashnau of Bunnell, FL, his brother Doug and wife Debbie of Greenwich, CT, his sister Kathleen and husband Greg Dean of Bunnell, FL, mother in law, Rosemary Konatich of Port Washington, NY, brother in law Nicholas Konatich and sister in law Brenda Thayer of Alexandria, VA, brother in law James Konatich and sister in law Jenny Konatich of Huntington, NY,  nephews Bryan Lavery, Daniel Lavery and Jack Sawyer, nieces Alayna and husband Ellis New, Catherine Sawyer, Cameron Konatich and Katherine Konatich, and grand niece Jordynn New and grand nephew Maverick New and step mother Nancy Sawyer of Oswego, NY and many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.

 Scott was predecease by his father Gaylord Sawyer of Oswego, NY, father in law Thomas Konatich of Port Washington, NY and step father Tony Dashnau of Constantia, NY.

 A funeral Mass will celebrated on Monday, August 17 at 11am in Saint John Fisher Church, 30 Jones Hollow Rd, Marlborough. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, August 16 from 1pm to 4pm at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury.
