Obituary of Edward N. Cadorette
Edward N. Cadorette, 73, of Glastonbury, beloved husband of Carol Cadorette, passed away in the comfort of their home on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.
Born on May 31, 1953 in Hartford, CT, Ed was the son of the late Herman and Helen (Marchand) Cadorette. Ed grew up in East Hartford and graduated from Penney High School, class of 1971. He worked and lived in NH for several years before returning to CT where he had several jobs over the years finally landing back at Pratt and Whitney where he retired from in October 2020.
Ed loved his family and friends. He was sometimes quiet in nature, but ever observant. He was a diehard NY Yankees and New York Giants Fan. Ed enjoyed traveling. He loved the road trips he and Carol took over the years. They shared and enjoyed the splendor and beauty of many of the U.S. National Parks.
Trips to the casino (“The Fun Zone”) were frequent as well as concerts and spending time with family and friends. He played in a weekly poker game for 40+ years with many of the same group of friends, adding new friends over the years.
Ed is survived by his wife Carol, siblings Jeanne Maloof of East Hartford, Janet Peltier of Lincoln, NH, Mary Cadorette of East Hartford, Joseph Cadorette of Thornton, NH and Theresa Cadorette of East Hartford. He also leaves his brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ronald Stocker of East Hartford, Lisa Tubiak of Glastonbury and Linda Bushey-Cadorette of Thornton, NH, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sisters Claire Ward of Johnstown, Colorado and Aline Stocker of East Hartford.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave, Glastonbury. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, 17 Wickham Road, Glastonbury. Ed’s family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM the funeral home.
