Obituary of Vittarina Bigotto
Vittarina “Rina” (Peracchio) Bigotto, passed away on September 2, 2026. She was born September 3, 1930, to Giovanni Peracchio and Teresa (Gina) Rossi Peracchio in Hebron, Connecticut. Rina’s family moved to Coventry, Connecticut, in 1944, and she graduated from Manchester High School in 1948. She married John Bigotto on October 12, 1953, and they settled in Glastonbury, Connecticut. They celebrated their 73rd anniversary last October. She worked for Adler & Dobkin for 10 years and then worked at Katz Hardware as bookkeeper for 30 years. In 1971 John built a second home in Hyannis, Massachusetts, which they enjoyed often for 40 years. They made many trips around 48 of the 50 states as well as Canada and Europe including Italy and Scandinavia. She was active with the AARP and programs at the Glastonbury Community Center. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Antonio Peracchio, and his wife, Betty. Rina is survived by her husband, John Bigotto, her nephews William Peracchio and his wife, Janette, Thomas Peracchio and his wife, Barbara, and many grand- nephews and nieces.
