Obituary of Lillian M. Faust

Lillian M. Faust (Vieira), 91 of Glastonbury died Saturday, April 14, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital.  Born July 18, 1926 in Plymouth, MA, daughter of the late Mary and Antone Vieira, she lived in East Windsor for many years prior to moving to Glastonbury. She had a long career as a Dietary Supervisor at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford.  An avid traveler, she toured across the United States as well as traveled throughout Portugal, the birthplace of her parents and her proud ancestry. Lillian is survived by her children Susanne Santangelo of Glastonbury and Russell Benevides and wife Carolyn of Manchester. She was predeceased by her daughter Jean Marie Benevides. She leaves grandchildren Justin Santangelo and wife Amy, Nicholas Santangelo and wife Emily of Glastonbury, Carissa Benevides of East Hartford and Matthew Benevides of Manchester. She leaves the youngest of her family, great-grandchildren Luca, Cole, Mason, Dominic, Nina, Angel Jonathan, Arianna and Alicia.   Lillian leaves her beloved siblings Dolores Faust, Alice Zito and husband John, Joyce Lucca and her brother Tony Vieira and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother David Vieira. She was also predeceased by husband Anthony J. Benevides and Frank A. Faust. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Avenue in Glastonbury on Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:30am. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00am in St Dunstan’s Church, 1345 Manchester Road in Glastonbury. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. The family wishes to extend our deep appreciation to the staff of Brookdale Mountain Laurel for their care and commitment to Lillian’s well-being during her residence.
