Jacqueline “Jackie” Greer, 86, of Glastonbury, beloved wife of the late John “Jack” Greer Sr. passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, April 24, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She had an indomitable spirit and had “full speed ahead” energy. She was never bashful about her point of view, and she was untiring in her care for their kids and home. There was never dust in the house nor leaves on the ground. She was born November 11, 1931 in Madawaska, Maine to the late Charles and Cecile (Martin) Bernard. She was the fifth of nine children. She graduated from Hartford Public High School where she met her husband Jack. They eventually moved to East Hartford where they raised their four children. She became more involved and found comfort at St. Dunstan Church. She met so many wonderful people, including Sister Mary. She was part of the Church Council and became a Eucharistic Minister. Her friends say they enjoyed her wit and outlook on life.
